I was encouraged to make this a separate thread instead of just a reply to a photo post, so: I know that there are a lot of Dahlia "photo ops" down in Oregon, but I really haven't seen many such photos from those of us here in Washington state. Does anyone know a good location to photograph dahlias in the Seattle area? Thanks in advance.

Volunteer Park in Seattle and Bellevue Botanical Gardens come to mind. I haven't checked recently, it might be a bit late this year.

Last I knew there were a couple of growers that run tours west of Puyallup on the north side of 512. There used to be some flower farms along the Samammish Slough trail between Woodinville and Redmond-up around the wineries area-not sure if they're still there.

Nancy & I were at Bellevue Botanical Garden a few days ago. Go here BBG to see some images from that day. The last 18 images were taken at BBG.

There was a good display at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma. Though I haven't been over there for several weeks, they should still be decent. james, if you come down here to shoot there, contact me and I'll join you.
