This was taken in some gorgeously soft late afternoon light right next to a visitors' centre in the Brecon Beacon National park, Wales.

The birds were quite tame and people were feeding them, so I couldn't resist shooting a few of them

I cloned some seeds out that were on the stone, the large version in my gallery shows what it was like before cos I um, meant to clone on that one and then downsize but I did the wrong one first.

Is it just me or is his shoulder sharper than his eye? Still, wonderful shot.

They're starting to be more active here and are looking good, as is this fine specimen. I love it when they are fluffed up. A little head turn would have been a bonus.
