I spotted these in the woods, not sure what they are though, the nearest match I can find in my book is "Sulphur Tuft" ? but there are so many similar ones that it's difficult to tell for sure.
They were in good condition so I set up my tripod probably about 8 feet away and used a telephoto lens with extension tubes on to get a lovely out of focus background.
A friend held a home made gold reflector made from the foil off an Easter egg glued to some card to cast some light on them for me.
Sony A350
Sigma 50-500 EX plus extension tubes
4 seconds
f16
ISO 100
420mm
Tripod and cable release
Manual focus
I've cropped just a little off all sides for composition purposes, my viewfinder isn't 100% and it doesn't seem to be reduced evenly on all sides so I have to give myself a little room, I learned that the hard way lol.
