I found this blog on the internet this morning

http://oregonfallfoliage.wordpress.com/

Last week there was good color starting to show over all the passes - North Santiam, South Santiam and McKenzie, although most color is still confined to highest elevations. Vine Maple really coming on.

A few changes to leaves east of Prineville, but still pretty green and looks like it will be a couple more weeks at least for those Cottonwoods, Aspen, Willow and Larch trees to color up.

Forgot to add that the nice stand of Aspens by Black Butte Ranch still have a ways to go. Most of the leaves are still green only a few leaves here and there are turning yellow - I will keep an eye on this favorite Aspen stand and will post when it actually gets to the nice golden color that is so great to photograph in the early morning. (This stand is pretty popular with local photographers)
