Distant rain
Taken on the heritage Coast in South Wales one evening.

A rather simple composition, I set up my tripod low down in the sea to capture the water swirling around this large rock.
I had my wellies on of course

There was some rain falling out to sea which looked nice against the glow of the setting sun.

Sony A100
Sigma 10-20 EX
1/2 second
f16
ISO 100
10mm
2 stop Cokin X-Pro ND grad
Tripod
Cable release
I chose a panoramic type crop for this one.

Beautiful. Well seen and captured. I'm useless when it comes to photographing landscapes but I know what I like.

Hello - up to you usual standard then!

I nearly very much like this...I want to be looking at the storm behind the lovely foreground swell which swirls neatly round the foreground rock, but the bright area in the left of sky (horizon) is taking my eye to this side of the shot (sorry - I want to agree with everyone else though). Maybe its my screen setup!

I'm liking the contrast and moody feel in this and am looking forward to your other 549 shots or so!

Superb shot, love the use of SS here combined with the great glow. The (brighter) left side looks good to me, I might be tempted to lighten the right side a little too (for balance). Great image! :toast:
