Nice idea with the log framing the lower half, but I would like to have more space below...just a touch ;) Nice shot of the nutter however!

A fine Nutty image Ian, he posed nicely for you.
Well done.

Hi Ian

Nice pose and a great BG - also agree re a little more space at the bottom. My other small nit is the tail being well OOF but when you are close to small birds and they are not sideways on it is very difficult to get the whole bird sharp even at f11.

Hello Ian.

Lovely pose and I like the composition you have chosen.

Agree about a little more room at the bottom and as David as said some more DOF would have been nice which I find is always the case when shooting birds from behind.

Composition and colours are great. I agree about the DOF though.

Thanks for the replies :toast:

As for the tail being OOF that is how I intended the shot to be, I wanted the focus to be on the head and eye with the side turn of the head.

If I had wanted to get all of the bird in focus I would have shot it sideways as is the norm.

Cheers for the feedback :toast:

Great shot :toast: I like the OOF tail, but would like some more space at the bottom
