Prefer this to your previous image Karen, just needed a little bit more of a head turn towards you... I much prefer this viewpoint as I felt that it was a little bit high (for my taste) in your first image of this splendid bird,

Phil has said it already, so I won't repeat it. Nice one, Karen.

Hi Karen

I don't want to be a pov bully but whenever I see an image like this my mind immediately turns to what it could have been had you been able to get lower. You might have got soaked through, you might have been really uncomfortable and you would definitely have got sand on your tripod mount but I also think that you'd have made an even stronger image. Of course none of this might have been possible so I'll just shut up! Just a thought though.

thanks Andrew whenever I can I would prefer to get as low as I can I love that style but on these occasions with the curlew I couldn t, like you said I would have been lying in the water and he was constantly on the move (by the time I would have lay down he would be half way up the beach)so other than rolling along which we know would be out of the question I couldn t do anything else, had there have been some on the sandbanks I could have got to just resting I would have been lying on the floor getting as low as I could, but sometimes you just can t do it, so I do understand where you are coming from
