Barn Owl at Dusk
700mm f6.3 1/800 iso500 Full frame

Hi all

When the light is right I don't think there's a more beautiful sight than watching one of these hunt. I've been working closely with them for five years now and they still stop me in my tracks. Awesome to see...with or without the camera.

Agree an awesome sight I was watching them myself in Norfolk a few weeks ago and although the light had gone to photograph them I just stood and watched and loved every moment, a lovely image

Lovely flight image, you had some great light here. :toast:

Hi Simon

Cracking image and I promise I'm not being deliberately contentious but I do think, honestly, that it would be improved if you cropped a little off the top and a little off the right hand side. Now I know that I might get it in the neck as some people hate the 'crop a fraction off here' brigade of which I am delighted to be a member but the reason that I mention it is that I think it will genuinely tighten up and improve the image. To me, it is often these little adjustments that can make all the difference.

Still a corker though, all ends up!!

Cracking shot mate, I like the open feel to this image and would leave it as is,

Great capture, and the light is wonderful. I'm afraid I am with Andrew when it comes to the crop though.

A very attractive image and the warm light brings out the warm tones in the owls plumage perfectly. :toast:

Cracking image. I agree with Andy P about cropping the top but would leave the rights hand side as it is.

I often get carried away just watching wildlife when there is not chance of a shot, sometimes when there is too. Awsome.

Well done.
