I am posting this shot in praise of swans since today I lost a lot of faith in the next generation..

I was walking back from some time spent in my home town and found three school boys throwing stones at a swan along the river.. I was so annoyed and needless to say, I let them know about it.. They were very belittled in front of many people and I make no apologies for that..

Anyway, sometimes there's just no helping some people, so please just enjoy the swan for what it represents..

Here's a link to my Swan image - Mute Swan - Reflection

Hello Brett, I too have seen this sort of behaviour all too often, and after trying to tell off/reason with the culprits responsible, I have been subjected to the same behaviour/barrage of abuse, and some of them have been old enough to know better! We are in trouble, if this is how the future generations behave! Nice photo by the way, :toast:

Sorry Oscar, not meaning to offend anyone!  . Some peoples behaviour leaves a lot to be desired though!

We lead by example, old people putting cats in bins? I never had faith in humans so no love lost.

Excellent reflection!

Yes the birch might do it but all the left wing liberals would scream that that will just scar the little b**gers and they will need therapy in later life...blah, blah, blah.....

Brett, your image has disappeared and been replaced with a photobucket notice. presumably they are worried about the culprits yooman rites.
A bit difficult to comment on until I can see it.

Sorry Eric - is wasn't a shot showing the circumstances, just a simple Swan image to illustrate the story.. See link above..

Hi Brett

Ditto your feelings.

Love your image - tricky exposure handled very well.

It's all to do with education!
35 years ago four of my pals and I got into a fight with some holidaymakers' kids who were throwing stones at the mallard ducks we had on our pond.
The next time they were here on holiday they asked for some barley to throw for the ducks on the same pond.

It has nothing to do with youth, because back then I was only nine.

nice shot too :wavey:
