Storm approaching
I spent a week on Unst earlier this year, and spent many an hour up on Hermaness - if you've been there, you'll recognise this scene.

.........5 minutes later I got a drenching

...thats half the fun of landscape photography - getting wet!

Looks quite nice! Wouldn't mind seeing it in colour too, as well as a big winter storm!

I like it - works well in B & W would have been good to see it in colour as well.

I too would like to see the colour version Graham.

The B&W conversion is a bit flat and lacking in contrast imo.

Thanks guys - I've toyed with the image for a while now after deciding to convert to B&W to make the most of the incoming rain squall. I'll have a look, reprocess the colour version and post again.

Been there, done that (the rain that is), but didn't come away with this fine shot. I look forward to the colour version.

Ahh...home!! I spent two months last summer camped on that ridge on the rhs of the image. mmm...windy! I could never not like an image of this place!

Hello Graham.

I love mono images but I do find they work alot better when they are very contrasty in moody conditions. I find this one very flat but with the right processing I think you could have a lovely mono image here.
