Just a couple of days ago NPN/CANP member Jimmy Gekas fish-tailed out of control in his 4-Runner on a wash-board road in the mountains near Ridgway, CO. He went over the embankment, rolled 4 times coming to rest upside down some 125+ft down the steep hill.
Miraculously, he WALKED AWAY from the crash with a few cuts and bruises. He's got the vehicle recovery on Youtube and gave permission to post this here and in the general forum.
Jimmy wants to pass along to others: BE SAFE OUT THERE!!
He could have just as easily not survived this or have been seriously injured.
He was very lucky, indeed. Over the years in my fire service career I have seen many of these types of accidents where the outcome was tragic.
Yes, please do be safe out there! Driving too fast for conditions to be ready for the good light won't mean a thing if you don't get there!
I am glda Jimmy is OK!

Wow Jimmy - I got chills. Very glad you survived that. See you on the shores of San Diego (I will be the rare Southern Californian with red hair and beard).
Umbelievable! I don't know if you know just how lucky you are, Jimmy! My dad was in a similar accident, but not as violent as this looks. It happened last December, and he did not survive. I'm glad you are okay!
This is unbelievable! I can't believe Jimmy walked away from that... it must have been that egg-crate bed topper that cushioned the blow. Seriously though, I'm glad to hear he survived the experience.

Jimmy,
Guess you didn't know you bought the e-ticket when you were going down that road. Glad your survived with little to no harm. Your guardian angel was working overtime. Would have missed you even though I haven't met you.

JImmy,
Been there .. done that..... not 120' though just rolled 2x---that was enough for me... so I feel for you!
The feeling of not being hurt or dead after something like that is something that I can not explain... I bet you know Jim.
Thanks God you made it!
