Posted this one to illustrate the blonde tail, which I hadn't seen before. I believe it is peculiar to straight descendents from the Caledonian Forest species. I was surprised to see I took it at iso 1000 (Taken of first day with Mk iv)
Absolutely stunning - never seen one like this before - pure class! I've no doubt that you rightly consider yourself very lucky to have seen this little chap, especially one with such a bloodline. I still dream of the day when I get to see my first ginger badger! No innuendoes please!

Your Mk4 is producing the goods already then Ian.
Not sure why but something makes me suspect this is an Essex Red

No Calum, it lacks the white high heels and sunglasses on the head

Hello Ian.
Baeutiful capture and that tail is excellent.
For me I think the stump should be just a little darker as I find it a little bright, but the rest is just right.
We've had a few blonde tail squidgers in the Yorkshire Dales this summer. They do seem to get these with their summer coat. I now have some visiting my feeders that have black tails
