This was taken earlier in the year, again some people will say it should have more room to the left for the bird to fly into, but I disagree some times rules need to be broken.

Of course they do, Dale. How else do we progress?  Excellent capture once again.

I cannot make up my mind on this one Dale. I can except the limitations of using High Speed flash but the balance on this one doesn't seem quite right to me.

For me you have enough space on the left for the bird to fly into. My issue is more with the amount of tree trunk and its relative brightness. I think the picture would be stronger if about half the trunk were cropped out and if you did something to darken down the area - either digitally burn it in or use a grey grad just to keep the eye primarily on the (very well taken) bird.

Cracking!

My initial though was that the tree was a bit over bearing, but now I'm not so sure the texture and colouring of the tree are quite interesting. I do like it.

I should of explained why there is so much tree in the picture, Its because its nest is in the hole in the fork of the tree.

Hello Dale.

Composition on this one is fine for me and its a really good shot.

The only nit for me would be the leaf in the top right corner for reason I,m not keen on it but the other leaves are fine and add to the image. I would just darken the middle one down to match the others on the left.

Nit picking I know but thats just my thoughs.
