(HW) - Honeypot Warning!
Yes I went to Finland - sorry
Another shot of the wolf. Sorry it is the same one as this is the only one that came close enough really for anything other than record shots. Cropped by about 5% to remove the crow that was mentioned in the previous image.

Cracking image of a wonderful experience. The oof green in the foreground has got to go though, in my opinion!
A real privilege

Hi Cheryl
Lovely image - agree with Andrew re the OOF FG. That said I would just love to see one in the wild.

Beautiful light Cheryl. I like the purposeful look, was it the crow he was heading for?
I've found a foolproof way to avoid negative comment like you have both been getting. Just be crap, then you'll find that they just feel sorry for you instead. Works for me. eric

great shot, can't get enough wild wolf shots so keep them coming. Is the dark patch in front the sahdow from the hide?
Posted by Cheryl Surry on October 2, 2010 at 12:59 PM
Dark patch is a mound of grass, now I could crop it out, but then the crop police would be after me
The whole foreground surrounding the wolf is pretty much in the shadow of the hide, just the way it is when the visits are in the evening rather than the morning.
Thanks for the comments.

Like the previous one. A lovely image and that hard to get wild that just everything makes it special. I suggest a crop of the bottom.

It's a fantastic moment when you see these Cheryl. You have been a lot luckier with the light than we were. Very menacing stare.

Who cares. I don't.
Great shot. Very envious. Agree with the greens in the foreground and maybe even tone down the white spot in the upper left corner. Love the stare and colors.

Hmm, on another site it seems I had done a slightly different crop that removed the bright tree in the background - not sure why I didn't when resizing image for here.
There is another in the series for a later date and I'll try to crop the crow, the bright tree and the foreground. At this rate I'll just have a wolf - just kidding. Seriously all taken on board.

Looks ok to me Cheryl but the whole picture won't load !
It only goes down to below the body. Strange.
Cheers

Stonker with a capital S. If only I were there right next to you.
Minor nit re OOF foreground. Great shot Cheryl and lovely lighting.

Hi John not sure why it would not load for you, on a previous shot one person could not see it at all. They are hosted on me.com which is the Mac website. Will rejoin npn in the next couple of weeks so then there should be no problems as they will be uploaded directly.
Mind you by the sounds of the crop you are seeing that should be the preferred view

Love this picture. Beautiful tones and expression on the wolf. Agree regarding comments on the foreground.

Don't worry too much what a minority of people do or say Cheryl, just let your images do the talking
Seems to be the "British way" that if you see someone doing well at anything, try to knock them down.
Well captured.
