I just want to thank John for his most helpful response (in the Landscape forum) to my queries about photography in Arches, Canyonland and Monument Valley. You suggested I check out Laurent Martres' book entitled 'Photographing the Southwest-Southern Utah.' Well, I ordered it and LOVE this first of three volumes to photographing the SW. So informative in terms of his identification and evaluation of locations in terms of their scenic value, photographic interest, driving and hiking difficulties. Great pictures too. I'm going to buy his two other books focusing on AZ, CO & NM as well. Really exceptional reads!
What a great forum! I got this as a Christmas gift last year, and I think I will sign-up for lifetime membership once it's time to renew!
