I said I wasn't going to upload another Kingfisher shot, but I thought I'd finish with one last upload
I think this image shows quite well that a different type of shot from the norm can be achieved in a workshop environment. I liked the birds pose in this shot and although similar shots have been seen before this shows a nice variation to the classic pose..
SHOT INFO
Canon 1D Mark IV
Lens EF500mm f/4L IS USM

Thanks to everyone for the feedback on my last upload, hope this one is a little less controversial,
Cheers,
Lee
Another beautiful image Lee
The colours and detail are amazing and the pose is very unusual.
Well done.
Geoff.

The detail in this one is incredible, I really like the different pose but I find the head position slighty confusing, however I do like the beak puhing through the feathers and I suspect it all works and looks absolutley stunning printed in a larger size.

Yeah Shaun, it has lost a bit of the old wow factor in compression, but I still quite like it. In large format it works a lot better.

Nice capture, pose is good and the beak through the feathers finishes this off!

lovely shot Lee love to see them preening, maybe a tad oversharpened but could just be me, but still a great shot and pose
Nit mentioned (oversharpening) but a good pose from the bird, shows the eye and the beak... just a little large in the frame for me, but that is a personal thing....
