October's Photo of the Month is from our own Ronnie Gaubert. This great egret is breeding plumage is good enough as it is. Including some of it's cypress environment while bathed in soft, warm light really separates this over similar efforts. Wonderful image, Ronnie. Get well, my friend.

In our Ten Questions feature, I interview Art Wolfe. Most of you are probably aware of Art's body of work and his television program, Travels to the Edge. I hope you enjoy it.

In our first article, Alain Briot dissects the anatomy of a snapshot and asks, What is a Snapshot?

Samantha Chrysanthou explains the importance of and distinction between Texture and Pattern in Nature. A Great read and some excellent photography to accompany this advice.

Ben Hattenbach takes us on a well-written, visual Journey Though Ellesmere Island’s Historic Landscapes on a Russian icebreaker. Another locale for the bucket list.

Many thanks to this month's contributors! NPN members, please feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of any of our articles or interviews.

Also, just a reminder that NPN's First Annual Membership Drive is still going on and you still have the opportunity to win a $500 shopping spree at B&H Photo!
