Passing along an announcement that might be of interest: Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA) is having a show of photos from their 2011 calendar at The Art of Framing in Portland. Opening night reception is this Thursday, Oct. 7, from 5-7pm.
Several of the photographers will be there, so if you're a desert lover or interested in finding out more about photo possibilities in eastern Oregon, this would be a good opportunity.

Thanks Greg for putting this up for me and thanks to all responses to my posting earlier this spring for our calendar's image submissions. 2 great complementary detail shots from Marylynne Diggs really helped us out, along with Greg's 2 main month images and 2 from Tyson Fisher. Tyson will have his shot from the top of Mickey Butte (north Alvord Desert) on display, it's a gorgeous image shot with his 8x10 camera.
Hope to see a few of you there.
cheers- Jim Davis
