Schwabacher Moon
A slow route was taken back from Wyoming to Flagstaff through southwest Colorado, getting home last night. There are many images to sort and process. Here is one from Sept 24 when the nearly full moon was setting over the Tetons. Taken from Schwabacher Landing. Like the next 10 days, there were no clouds. Some moss in the foreground water was cloned out.
Nikon D90, 18-105 lens, 21mm, f/8, 1/30s, ISO 200.

Nice peaceful shot, Doug--despite the lack of clouds.

Beautiful! Much nicer on my screen than on your laptop.
The setting moon makes the blue skies inconsequential. Great color throughout, and I like how the tops of the pines complement the peaks of the Tetons.

A very nice scene, Doug. The moon really makes up for the lack of clouds, but it's a bit small for my tastes. I'm not big on manipulation, but this is one of those times I think maybe doing so (increasing the size of the moon) would be OK.

Nice comp and light, and the moon is a good addition in this.

Nice image. I was there for the full moon only I shot it from another location. To bad there wasn't some cloud cover it would have been a perfect morning.

I like the moon as well, but love the reflection in this one.

Tranquil image! I was there the same weekend, yeah no clouds, but still and incredible place.
