Long Tailed Tit
One from my Ltt collection one of my fav little birds and one of the hardest to photograph I think, they are so quick. This was took in the woods just as the light was fading.

Canon 50D, Canon 300f2.8 + 1.4 convertor, ISO 400, f5.6, 1/640

A beautiful image Karen, lovely catchlight in the eye, and I love the complimentary b/g! Got these coming into our garden now, and I hope to capture an image as good as this! Great stuff.

Hi Karen

Now you're talking! This is an absolutely cracking shot Karen, beautiful bird, stunning light, fantastic perch and a perfect background. None of the additional elements detract at all from the bird, all they do is compliment and enhance it. This is exactly the sort of thing that I was talking about when I commented on your bullfinch image and specifically that the twiggy perch let it down somewhat.

You don't need to get a bird to perch on something average in order to show the bird off, you need to get the bird to perch on something that will enhance it just like you have done here. If you don't believe me then put this LTT next to your bully, this wins by a country mile and is the best picture that I've seen from you (though I've probably missed lots!). Brilliant!!
