One of the Red Squirrels that frequent my bit of woodland (taken earlier this year). They have a habit of just staring at you sometimes and stay motionless for a few minutes which is quite strange when they are usually racing around at 100 miles an hour.
Couldn't feel much after being sat in the snow for three hours as I recall but should be cosier this year as I'm building a permanent hide.

Wonderful contrast and excellent job keeping those whites intact!
At the risk of sounding anthromorphic I love the slight sideways look of the eye and the two paws coming together as if it is nervously making up its mind whether to run or not.
Beautiful colour and detail Simon, great to see them with the ear tuffs, sadly the one's I shot the other week had not developed them yet. They certainly seem to suit the snow setting.
Curious on f/5?

Winter is coming, can't wait to get my hide out proper, -18° and a thermos and no ticks!

Wonderful winter scene simon!
Thanks for the comments all

Lovely portrait and like your composition with keeping all the squirrel in the white area of the background.
