Yellowstone landscapes
2 weeks ago, I spent some time in Yellowstone. Here are some landscapes. I will post some wildlife images separately. I welcome feedback.

Thanks, Corinna

Corinna,
I really like this landscape! The only thing bothering me is the grazing critter in the lower left. I think what bothers me is that it just appears as a lump, not really identifiable as an animal. Of course, it would have been hard to ask it to raise its head for a second...

Erik, it's a rock. The only critter nearby was a bison, may be the same one Don had in his images.
Here is #2

A really nice set! I particularly like #1 and #3. Thanks for sharing!

Great set!

I really like the warm light on the rising mist in #1.
The dark rock is somewhat distracting. You might consider cloning it out, if such editing doesn't bother you.

The horizon in #2 appears to have a major tilt ?

#1 is awesome, with those layers of hillside and silhouetted trees in the golden fog. I could live without the rock, but it's not a deal-breaker. I also really like #3 with that big, bold curve. The waterfall is nice too, though I'd be interested in seeing alternative comps.

These are magnificent. Whether it is a bison(critter) or a rock, in image one, it belongs there. After all, he/it was there first.

Some beautiful work. I especially like the first one.

Fine series! #'s 1, 3, & 4 are my favorites. They're the ones that make me stop and look again.

Really like the light and color in the second image!

Thanks for your comments. In #1, I chose to have the rock there as an anchor to the bright light on the right. Re #2 I 'straightened' the image because the spring seemed to be tilted. I may go for a middle ground. Years ago, I took an image of that spring that I really like, but it was with a click & shoot. This time the weather cooperated.
Thank you also for not commenting on images. It helps overcome personal attachments.

#1 and 3 stand out to me, especially 1 with the layers of backlit golden fog along the stream. Maybe clone out the distracting black rock.
Did you use a CPL in #4?
