North Lake Light Show
Well, I didn't want to post a copy cat image from the Lake Sabrina sunrise with Eric. So, I'll show you the light show that went off at North lake the previous morning. It was an amazing display! Eric can verify my reaction. He was able to hear me vocalizing my elation from a distance away. One of the best things I've ever witnessed in nature! I hope you enjoy it. Steve Sieren Was standing next to me, but knee deep in the lake, by the way.

Chris,

Just a great image still, not surprised about Steve standing in the Lake last year he almost sank out of sight into the muck of Mono Lake. Just one small thing which I neglected to point out on your ESS post on the little gravel tongue on the inlet creek there's a tiny white spot. I know that can be fixed quite easily. You were shouting I was weeping at the beauty down in the Buttermilk's near Galen's Hill. It was an emotional weekend.

Wow, quite the show!!! Nice image, Chris. What a treat.

Sorry I missed the Whoa Nellie Deli gathering. I found a really fun spot to photograph and could not pull myself away to make the lunch. I had dinner there Sunday night, but I did not see any CANP'ers by that time. I missed the riot too. That would have been entertaining. With all the togs watching, did anyone get photos of the fight?

Sweet! I was wondering what the view was like that morning from your guys' position. I like the many layers of color captured here... from the reflection, bands of aspen and sunlit peaks. I might favor changing the hue to a slightly more reddish tone in the most golden of the sunlit peaks, but that's a personal preference. Nicely captured and processed.

P.S. As you mentioned, hearing you exclaim "oh, cr@p it's [the light] happening behind us" put a smile on my face. What a great morning and trip.
