This morning i had beautifull light and the background of dead reed was great as a background color.

Canon EOS 7D
Exposure 0.002 sec (1/640)
Aperture f/6.3
Focal Length 700 mm
ISO Speed 500
Exposure Bias +1/3 EV

Couldn't agree more, lovely pose and the subtle background colour really makes the Kingfisher stand out :toast:

In a world seemingly awash with quality kingfisher images I am surprised at what a difference the background colour makes. This is perfect colour to my mind, complementing the perch and showing the bird off really well. Like this a lot.

Lovely shot of this juvenile male Kingfisher.
I especially like the small water droplets on it's chest.

A fantastic KF pic Marcel. Background gives it an almost surreal feel and the composition is perfect.
