Coot in Action
1D mk iv, 600mm f4, 1/5000s, f4, iso 400.

I have been trying for at least 4 years to get a semi-decent shot of a coot running, but usually end up with a grey blob or a leg or splash leaving the frame! This morning I managed to at least get one in the frame. It's not the shot I'm striving for, but it's work in progress. Maybe I'll get the one I'm after in the next 4 years..

Great capture Ian :toast: - maybe needs a tad more space on the left?

Superb action shot Ian and your trademark POV...! A little more room on the LHS would have been nice..

I understand the shot you are trying to get Ian, and would say that whilst this is not it, it is a pretty good substitute. I agree about the room on the left, but otherwise an excellent shot.

Great action shot Ian. Agree with the comments regarding more room on the left but otherwise A1 capture.

That’s so close Ian, a bit more room all round would have been nice but we shoot what we see, nice action.

Bob.
