After catching a colorful sunrise at Lake Marie, we made a stop at Hanging Lake on the way out of the Snowy Mountains, WY. A great place to eat breakfast!

It was indeed one of those rainy overcast days up on Mt. Evans last summer, and decided to scout the bristlecone pines for something.

Roger, that bristlecone photo is outstanding. The colors, patterns and textures are amazing. Love it!

This field was difficult to shoot at sunset if you were looking for the grand landscape. I much preferred this view.

I was shooting a cabin along East Fork of Brush Creek in late September when I spotted some nicely backlit scrub oak. The buckeyes were nice and the background worked well.
Bret, excellent color and comp.
Bill, absolutely striking.
Roger, gorgeous abstract.
Bill, great light and comp. Love the pano.
Rod, wonderful color and the dof is perfect. Love the light, too.
Jack. something completely different and unique, and crazy good. Love the light through the sap, and that you included the ant's shadow.
Grant, that is just brilliant. The focus on the trees in the reflection is such a great contrast to the whirlpool of leaves.
Tien, I'm blushing Incredible abstract. Great eye to see and capture this.

Some beautiful stuff here guys. Jack, what are the odds of catching an ant shadow?
I'm not sure if this qualifies as an intimate landscape, but maybe it does to the spider.

Outstanding shots everyone! Hard to pick a favorite, but being a Kansas girl until I moved here just recently, I'm leaning toward Bill's sunflower image. Beautiful! Here's an intimate little scene I captured on the floor of an aspen grove near Telluride.

I need to make a better scan of this one. Colors are still off, but it's a work in process.
This is from Geneva Creek, on the south side of Guanella Pass.
Aspen cluster, reworked from previous post.
Here's another of mine, from a recent outing.
