Wyoming Animal-scapes
Was in the Tetons Sept 24-27 clear skies and smoke put a damper on some dramatic scenes, but it was awesome anyway. C&C welcome and thanks for looking!

#1 Bull Elk - This one crossd the water about fifty yards in front of me while following a cow. I am always amazed at how big these guys are.

#2 Oxbow Moose - A little bit later in the morning after the crowd had left a moose came out of hiding for only a couple of minutes then disappeared into the forest.

#3 Goledn Eye of Autumn - From Two Oceans Lake. It was so peaceful and quiet with no biped hominids around I just watched this guy for about 45 minutes.

Both are great shots Jeff. #2 I think is a beautiful landscape scene, but I kind of feel a tighter crop to bring out more focus on the moose would make it more of a wildlife shot. A tighter vertical crop would be insane on this one!

#4 I had to put one image of the range in here, I just couldn't resist the temptation.

no mas.

Thanks Koveh, I understand what you are saying and I was zoomed in about as tight as I could get with my 70-300.

Nice set of images. Really like the color reflection in the river on #3.

#2 with those fall colors and reflections is an outstanding habitat shot!
I like the crop as is.

It would have been nice to catch the moose slightly earlier, before it got into the more cluttered background, but hey, I haven't encountered any that take well to instructions.

Great stuff! I like #2 the best...I wouldn't crop it. I like #1 & 4 as well. #3 is the only one I'm not liking as much, since the duck's head is turned away.

A very nice set of images. I think #3 would make a great abstract w/o the duck.

A very well done set of images. I particularly like #2 and 3. Great color and luminosity.

I like the moose image best and just as it is. Those trees and their reflection are beautiful.

LOVE # 3.

Great set Jeff! Very nice pose in the first one, although the elk seems a little tight on the bottom and centered for my taste, but I understand you may have had limitations in the field. The moose shot is my favorite, wonderful colors and reflections, nice work.

I was at Oxbow last week and was told about the moose coming out at sunrise, but it never showed when I was there. Excellent collection!

These are all terrific! You took great advantage of the conditions up there.
I'd be pleased to have any of these in my portfolio.

Fantastic set! I like #4 for the reflection and relative simplicity.

Great color in #2. I was up there at the same time and I would have to disagree about the lack of clouds and smoke problem. I had clouds for most of my Sunrises and the smoke gave me some amazing Sunset shots.
