First time I've seen this one in the area, is it a Cooper's Hawk?? Apologize for the quality, it was taken with an optical zoom and the sun was also hitting right on him/her. Appreciate your observations!

Red-tailed Hawk. The barring across the chest is a dead giveaway/

Classic eastern red-tail.
I've gotta ask: what made you think this was a Cooper's?

Thank you Luke, Richard and Cindy. I should have taken my time and searched a bit more for the ID. I stopped at Cooper's Richard, and when I saw it was pretty common, just guessed at it. My bad.
Cool bird, not very far away, will have to try and find him sitting in such a nice spot under better light and with a different camera.
