Elk Photos
I found shooting the elk rut this year to be pretty challenging. I spent time in YNP, the Tetons and RMNP. Numbers seemed down up north. The opinions I heard was the was still plenty of browse from a wet spring and the elk were still distributed. RMNP started late and ended pretty quick.

This image was one of the few bulls along the Madison River.

Very nice! You got some great light in this image! Was pretty challenging at Rocky this year as well.

Nice color, Ray. I wonder if a bit more of a crop on the right might make the animal less centered.

Great pose and shot. I think I would add a bit of contrast to its neck, looks a bit too HDRish. Darkening the neck area might work also.

I like the warm color and the pose on this. I agree with Rod about cropping some off the right to make this less centered, but the Elk is already very tight in the frame. If you have cropped this already and have the room, I would add it back ot the top and bottom as well. If you do not, maybe turn it into a portrait. This seems to be somewhat in between.

Great color in capture. The composition looks good as it is but I agree it might look better off center.
