At last. It was lovely to get a shot of a fox while it was still light. Mine will not come into the garden before dark
A big thanks to Mark for his help and all the hard work he has put in with Charlie.
D300 300mm f2.8 1/80s f4 -0.7EV ISO 1000 Tripod FF A bit of canvas added for composition.
C & C welcome (not you Mark - you are harder on me than AA)

Nice picture with very good sharpness. I like the short DOF. The fox "pops" out from the backround.

Fan-tabee-doozee Maggie - at last ya got one
Him harder than me??? - I think your memory of me might be slightly dulled there Maggs
I'm chuffed for you Maggs honestly - I know you've tried for a shot like this for ages - nice one
If you get the chance again try it at -1 or -1.3EV. and take the extra shutter speed.

Great capture Maggie. Love the composition, expression and poise of the fox makes it very dynamic and the eye detail is the icing on the cake. A1.

That has to be one of the nicest fox pictures I've seen for a long while Maggie. Lovely composition, great use of differential focusing and a handsome subject to boot. Spot on.

Hello Maggie.
Beautiful capture and a lovely pose with plenty of space to look in to.
Being very picky here but I would just tone down the bright yellow leaf just to the left of Charlie.
