Thought I would share something I found out this morning. I was at a Best Buy and seen the Canon G11 with a price of $299 on it. I asked a sales rep what the deal was and they said they are getting rid of the G11's to make way for the G12's. The only difference between the 2 is the G12 has 1280 x 720, 24fps video the G11 640 x 480, 24fps. Needless to say there is now a new G11 sitting on my table.

The G11 is my second camera. I use it when schlepping my DSLR around is impractical, and as a backup. I can vouch that it's an excellent camera and $299 is a real bargain!

Brad, I think you just lucked out. Went on Best Buy's website and it doesn't come up. Went to the local store and it is still $499.00.

Brad,
I had similar experience as Patricia at my southwest Houston Best Buy. They had one that had been returned, and they wanted $450.
