Seems this guy was obviously having a frustrating time fishing, with NO luck.
Sadly the gull in the BG is an all to often hazard photographing in this location, as there are huge flocks feeding on the dead salmon carcasses, so there is no avoiding them.

Steve, I like the low angle and the oof background on this, and the title made me smile on a Monday morning (no easy feat). Shame about the gull, but, as you say, that is an unavoidable hazard with so much free food about.

I did not notice the gull at first, the beers pose took my interest. Brilliant catch!
Great capture with a fitting title. Love the pose and did not notice the gull at first.

A brilliant composition, what a terrific pose! Have no problem with the gull - didn't notice it really.

Hello Stephen.
Super shot and title, and the pose you have captured is excellent.
Well if no one else is going to say it I will, clone that gull out it caught my eye straight away. I dont think any boby is going to say you could have waited till the gull was gone, as moments like this only happen for a split second and you have to take the shot or lose it.
For me the image would be a lot better with out it and I would have no problems about removing it.
Thanks guys much appreciated feedback and more importantly, glad to know it raised a smile or chuckle on a Monday.
Guy, you summed it up well and as you say, you have to take you chances where/when you can. Personally the odd bit of gardening isn't an issue, but something like this, am I being true to myself or in this instance does it really matter, as only I know what was there? I am not going open Pandora's box, but I try to avoid any content removal, not that this is an award winning image, but it might go on a few greeting cards, LOL.
Steve definitely prefer it without the gull but I know what you are saying about cloning. A great image and love the title. No one else has said it so I am probably wrong but I wondered about just a little more room on the right and on top?
