Black Headed Gull
Canon 1D MK 1V, Sigma 300-800mm, iso 400, 1/1600, f 6.3, tripod.

Had some fun watching these trying to reach food from the bottom of the pool which was one about nine inchs deep. They could,nt quite reach it by just sticking there heads in the water. So they would fly up above the water and then dive for it which is what is happening here.

The trailing water obviously makes the shot Guy. It's a shame the wing has cast a shadow over the top of the head.

Like the slightly craned head, however the trailing water adds to the scene. :toast:

Nice detailed shot Guy. As mentioned the water trails are great. I also like the Gull against a dark background and reflection in the water. :wavey:

Great timing but I am not keen on the blackening of the background that seems to be in vouge with watery backgrounds.
