Here is one of the photos I made last Monday evening on the South Fork. It looked considerably different the next morning! See some of my other photos at:

I hope all of this works, as this is my first time posting a photo here!

Thanks,
John

John, welcome aboard and good job getting your image posted. Looks like you figured it out.

You image does a fine job showing the varied colors that were abundant on the east side this year. It is quite a splash of colors. I am looking forward to seeing more of your images posted.

John,

Well, welcome to the CANP forum! You've certainly filled the frame beautifully with autumn foliage. I really like the little opening near the center that shows some of the young aspen trunks. I also like how the yellow is framed by the greens on the left and the almost-ready-for-prime-time-colors on the left.

I do think as with Harley's image that this is suffering from jpg compression in getting this to the web. Very easy for this to happen with aspen images and all that leaf detail.

Thanks for sharing and we look forward to more images.

Nice collection of color you captured here... very indicative of fall color in this canyon. I particularly enjoy that cluster of intertwined trunks in the center of the image. A photo focusing on that area might make an interesting image as well. Nice work!

Hey John, your image really shows just how big the fall color can be in the South Fork. The 2 trees on the sides do make for some nice framing.
