Jay
This was a grab shot taken through my double glazed patio doors and I was standing about 14 feet from the bird.
I had to hold the camera in portrait mode as the glass panels aren't very wide.

I cropped off the distracting handrail from the bottom and a bit off the top too, I don't like cropping too much with that camera as it only has 6.3 megapixels.

I know some won't like the man made perch but it was either that or nothing.

Some nice detail in here, Geoffrey, and a good background. However, I would like to see the bird a little smaller so that you could have had a bit more space for it to look into on the right of the frame.

Lovely colours and background, lots of detail considering the 6.3MP!!

You don't always get the perch you want (do we ever?). Beautiful detail in the Jay especially as it taken through double glazing. :toast:

1/30th 230mm hand held! Needs a natural perch bud , but nice detail in the bird .
