I have always loved the little Taylor Park town of Tincup. We swung by there on our way home from Ouray. My favorite spot is the cemetery and the ponds near there were resplendant in Fall colors. I took several shots and this is one of my favorites.

This one was taken just to the right of the Jewish Knoll and opposite from the first one. There are only 6 occupants in that section of the cemetery...not a bad place to spend eternity.
Nice little pond with great trees in the background. I like the first best.

So you're not referring to a crappy golf movie with Don Johnson and Kevin Costner competing for the affections of Rene Russo? Well then...
I love the mood in these, Pam. They really convey the season without so much as one lonely aspen tree. Do I wish the little rounded mountain left of center wasn't nearly lopped off in the first one? Sure, but it's not a deal-breaker. The second one? I'm on the fence. HA! I'm here all week!
I love the 2nd one with the beautiful light and the rustic feeling! Both are great images!

Both these are very nice Pam! My vote goes to the first one...I love the muted yellows, browns and rust colors and the tarn brings all this into a nice quiet mood.

I like the first one although the fence in the second is a nice element. Great job capturing the season!

These work well presented together. definitely nice to see the atypical autumn images.
If you are inclined to play a bit, try cropping that first one so the taller mass of pines is centered in the background. 4x5, square or whatever. Makes it that much tighter/focused.

Very, very nice! Ditto on the good work to capture autumn without an aspen.

Maybe a little more "breathing room" above the mountains, but otherwise very nice serene comp. Yes, the fence works!

The color is extremely accurate.
Nice shots.

Yeah, nice shots! I love the pond in number 1, wish there was a bit more space up top. Nice comp in #2, could use a bit of exposure control for the clouds.

Nice job - I especially like the comp on #2

Nice images here, Pam. Stan took the words right out of mouth.

What, not enough sky *in* the pond??? Actually, The original did have a sliver more sky that I did crop so if I re-work this I shall include it Hmmm, interesting observation Jesse and I see what you mean, thanks! The color of the foliage around this beautiful hidden area was really nice. I was happy to finally have some clouds to shoot too. Thanks for all your comments as it sure does help me!
FYI - These were both handheld shots and the RAW file (TIFF conversion} was initially processed with single image tone-mapping in Photomatixs latest version which is pretty cool.
