Hi all,

This image was made during a trip to Norway earlier this year when I decided to venture inland a little to explore the large areas of tundra.

Not the best of experiences for the hire car but it did allow close range images of this Golden Plover in breeding plumage. This bird was very inquisitive and deliberatley approached, then circled the vehicle to satisfy its curiosity. Too close at times !

Canon 1dMK4, 500mm, f8, 1/400, ISO800

C&C welcome

Austin

There are more images from this trip available on my BLOG if you are interested.

Well it isn't a Cheetah Austin, your back then

Lucky to have it come so close, you can see why it can be easily lost in the BG. A lower POV would have been better, but shooting from the car obviously does not allow.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your feedback.

You know that I have a bucket full of Cheetah images from my recent trip to Kenya and some give the impression that I was lying on the grass!. Cheetahs will be the new Kingfisher on this forum when I get round to processing them.... !!

I understand your email now. Cheers

Austin

Gorgeous image. Steve is right about the lower POV, but if you get out the car to get it you lose the subject bery quickly in my experience.
