This is a completely bizare story, My wife Jen, noticed a Card/notelet on a friends message board at home. with a Bullfinch picture on, she thought it looked like mine, and to my amazement it is !!!.
Now this picture did sell on istock (for $2.00 Grrr) 3 years ago. so it could be ligitimate. although i am sure it was sold in america.

i am going to try and trace the company that produced these cards if possible. there is only a name on the back "paper Place"

Going to see if i can trace where they were purchased, and work back from there.

has anyone else had experience of this sort of thing and got any advice that might be useful.

this one :-

One of the reasons why micro stock needs banning

Have you been in touch with iStock over it?

Seen it before, legal and illegal. Just do your homework on the source before getting in about them - saves red faces all round!

Most recent example I saw was a friend's robin 'lifted' from his shot and pasted into a new background 'lifted' from another photog's work - both were stock images in the same agency. Initial assumption was that the other photog had done the dirty, as the composite image had his name on it, but on investigation it seems the agency had 'created' it themselves to meet a huge demand at Christmas for new fresh robin in snow pics, but had 'neglected' to inform either photog. Profuse apologies offerered by agency for their 'oversight' etc etc..........
