Cadron Creek Lightning
Mike and I were able to get out the other night and shoot a storm. It was pretty incredible to watch. The storm was about 50 miles away from us and was a slow mover. It gave us quite a show. Usually when I shoot lightning, I'm thrilled to get one or two, but that night I had plenty to choose from...This one being my favorite.

Impressive storm and wonderful capture. Cropping some off the top & left would strengthen an already strong image. Great work Karla!

Good stuff.
The exposure with the stars showing, the whiteness of the clouds, the bolt starting at the top and grounding, the visible horizon--all these make for a great photo.
And, it was a NIKON....

Great catch Karla. I especially like the under lighting of the clouds with the lightning passing through them.

Wow! Fantastic! I really like the stars above. One side peaceful the other raging with fury!

Awesome shot Karla, I love photographing lightning...especially when it's far away like this.
