Little Owl
Sorry more little owls. When these little birds leap from the tree they usually land 30 feet from the camera. In an ideal world I would use the 600mm lens but I cant swing it fast enough, even with the little 300mm f4 in the second or so they take to land just keeping them in the frame is difficult enough. There are a few more shot to come so please bare with me or not as the case may be.

Bob.

These are absolutely superb little owl shots you've been putting up here Bob. It's especially good to see them in action as well. I could never get tired of little owls, they are favourites of mine. have you done anything to the background on this one or is it just good seperation that makes the bird pop so well?

Congrats to your perfect timing Bob. It is a hit that you were able to freeze
this lovely pose in flight.

Like Eric, I've always had a bit of a thing for little owls even though I've never managed a decent image of one. It's nice to see an action shot like this as we normally see them perched. A well taken shot.

If you can keep up this standard, Bob, you can keep them coming as long as you like.

Thanks All for your comments and kind words, Eric I did do a little on the background , just reduced the yellow using "selective colour in the neutrals".
