North Lake Meadow
Here is a calendar shot taken from the meadow just off the North Lake road to the fisherman's parking lot. I combined two exposure bracketed photos, one for the sky, and one for the land, using Photoshop and layer masks. FYI, the new refine mask tool in CS5 is awesome. It allows easy getting rid of funky edges and fringing when combining layers.

Does anyone know of a quality online printer that makes calendars larger than the usual 11x17?

Can't even tell it was two exposures Tony. Beautiful and very natural too, should be great placed in the Calendar.
Nice seeing you up there at the lake too.

This is a calendar worthy fall color view, next time at North lake during fall I'm going to have to wander around at bit, I'm glad different photographers a posting so many views that aren't typical. Just one small nit Tony and it's a taste thing the highlights on the surrounding peaks are just a tad bright for me. Steve is right it does havea very natural not "overworked" look. Sorry never used an on-line printer hope you get an answer.

Tony,

Very nice shot. I agree that the Photoshop work is excellent. Love the colorful trees.

I was at the same place on Oct 7. There was patchy snow on the grouond when I was there. I believe that the snow melted within a day or two.
