I made a quick little trip to Steele Creek yesterday to check out the color and was pleased to find some pretty stuff already. Thanks to image stabilization, I was able to get a few sharp ones without a tripod. It's nice to shoot again as I have not been shooting since my last post.

The magic hour is a term filmmakers call the light during sunset where they have roughly 1 hour of magic light to shoot.

That magic hour was about 6 hours long in Iceland - on each side of sunrise/sunset. Same as in Alaska in the summer, or any northern clime. Sometimes here it only lasts a minute or two, and you have to be ready...

The color rendition in this photo shows the blessing of "magic hour".
The color IS this photograph although the texture of the rock, water, etc do add.
1/13 sec hand held. Another victory for technology.

Great use of the magic hour light, Aaron. The rocks are a great anchor to your shot.

Thanks for the compliments. I'd love to go to Iceland someday... It's like fairytale land. The photos you got from there are pretty unbelievable.
