Got up to Bridal Veil Falls this evening with about 30 minutes of light left. Was surprised to find the creek flowing nearly bank-full. Looks like they got more rain today in the Bedford Rez than we got further south.
Lots of color in the lower branches, but many of the maple tops are bare.
This shot is from the bridge looking upstream. Unfortunately, the shot from the overlook (up the falls) has been compromised by a small maple that is leaning at a 45 degree angle through the frame (bring a chainsaw).
We're expecting a bit more rain tomorrow and wind. If you like pictures of leaves on the ground, this will be the place to be this weekend.
