Blue Tit
One from the collection of Blue Tits, I know they are one of the most common of our little birds but still one of my favourites.

Canon 50D, Canon 500f4L, ISO 400, f7.1, 1/1000

Nothing wrong with blue tits, they are great little birds. The detail on this one is great, but I find it too far over to the right, so it is looking out of the frame.

thank you I did it this way as I thought he was looking at me so placed the eye their when I put more room on the right the eye looked to central but can see what you mean maybe he is looking out of the frame

Nice one Karen

Its always good to see commoner species, but it doesn't mean they are easier to get good pictures of

Well done

Have just done a quick edit just to see the difference but I think it maybe looks to central now WDYT, I am always eager to learn about the compostion of an image.

I think the re-post is better Karen. Nowt wrong with common. I've said many times in the past that if these 'common' birds were rare they would be considered exotic indeed as so many of them have such beautiful plumage. Lovely image.

The re post is the better for me ,can't remember the name of the shrub but it give a spash of colour and adds much to the shot.Nice.

Really super image, love the combination of colours. Its the second one for me too! I perhaps might have swapped a bit of canvas off the bottom for a bit on the top but just my personal preference!!! :toast: :toast:

The second one is more pleasing Karen
Unusual perch you've got here, it adds some colour.
I like Blue Tits too, they are very cheeky and full of character.
Well done.
