After shooting Torreys at sunrise last Saturday, I drove up the dirt road to the parking for the Grays Peak trailhead. Then I wandered along the gulch on the south side to try to find some shots of Grays and Torreys and the scenery in the gulch. The fresh snow was great and it was still spitting occasionally.
Here are few from the gulch area. And they are posted in order taken.

Nice set Morris , hard to pick one but #3 looks great to me.

Excellent stuff, Morris! I would suggest reducing the saturation of the green lichens in the first three so they're not quite so fluorescent. With that tweak, either 2 or 3 would be my favorite, followed closely by 5. But there ain't no dogs in the bunch!

Very nice, Morris. I love the lichens; perhaps Todd's suggestion will make them even better. The old train tracks are my favorite. Great work.

These are all really nice, Morris. That last one is a grand slam, though. Saved the best for last, for sure. The patchwork of vegetation in the bottom 2/3 is so different from the monochromatic top 1/3. Awesome work!

Very nice collection Morris! 2 is my favorite and those tracks look like a hell of a ride! I particularly like the color of the ground cover in these.

Nice series indeed!
My two favorites are the last two. Something about those tracks that appeals mightily to this old vagabond, and the composition/lighting/general lay of the land of #8 is far superior to the rest, IMO.

These are AWESOME, Morris! I love the green white contrast in #2 (maybe tone down the lichen a small bit--but not much!) and 5 and 6 also really stand out for me (crop out the bit of blue at top in 5). 6 is perfect--print it huge! A real strong set--congrats!

#2,#3,#5,#7 (great surprise factor in this series), and #8.

Three is my absolute favorite! Real different color combos. All are wonderful and your photographic star continues to rise Morris. Is that my hat I lost there in '94???

Thanks everyone
Todd and Stan, I guess I was likin' those lichen too much!
Pam, yes it was your hat and it was covering my lunch I lost there in '89. I hate altitude sickness, and that was my first experience with it.

Wonderful series, Morris. I think #7 should be a poster with a clever caption.
