Fallow Deer Buck
50D, 400/2.8, Tripod + Black Widow.
ISO400, 1/250 @ f3.5 (hush... don't tell Danny)
ACR + CS5 (resize & sharpen)
Slight crop...

Hi,

An early morning start with good friends to photograph our local Fallow Deer resulted in a number of images that I am pleased with...

The light started of pretty dismal, which is not what was forcast, but started to improve shortly after sunrise....

All the best

Phil

Perfect Phil, great HA, but it's the capture of breathe that makes it for me, also the low POV really works. Not a bundle on the mottled FG, but the eye is drawn to where it should be, the head. Nice 'rack' too. :toast: :toast: :toast:

Well you have got everything there Phil = detail, composition, expression, tongue and breath. Sod   Had a totally wasted day at Bradgate yesterday. Loads of deer when it was too dark to photograph them then the little b*****s disappeared when the light came up

Very nice indeed
The breath add that something extra.
Well done.

Geoff.

Oooo, like that. ISO 400...practically bright sunlight to what we have been getting here!

Like the action. Not sure about the amount of foreground unless you have a reason for it - text.

Brilliant Phil, one of the best fallow images I've seen.
