For those of you who, like me, are depressed by all this 'lovely' weather we've been having--there is hope! It looks like the increased tropical activity over the equatorial Pacific is finally starting to have an impact on the Jet Stream, and after the current weak system passes to our south on Friday, a strong jet will take aim at the Continental Divide, and the first of a few storms will nail the Continental Divide Sat-Sun. Then, there are some hints that a deeper storm system could develop over the 4 corners area by next Wed (the 27th), and this would bring some more snow to the mountains, and maybe the lower elevations as well. If this pattern holds up--and i think it will--then there should be a decent snowpack by the end of the month. :jump:

Hope for no jury duty!

I'd rather keep the lovely weather if we are voting for it.

I wonder if the other regional forums are as fortunate as we are to have our own personal weatherman? Thanks Stan

We should be getting some of that moisture here around Flagstaff through Thursday. Snowlevel is supposed to be 11,500' so maybe the SF Peaks will look nice. Hunphreys Peak is about 12,600 Hopefully the aspens will be at peak next weekend, as the taller trees near Snowbowl and the south slopes are still lime green. The north and northwest slopes are very close to peak.

At the risk of being banned, I think I'm with Brian. But I'll compromise and allow for some bad weather, as long as it's sunny again 1st week of Nov when I want to do night shots.

I wish we could ban that "real job" thing that seems to really get in the way.

...and down in the LaPlata range, where there is still plenty of autumn color left.

Can we only make it snow on weekdays and have the weekends be nice and warm?

What Chuck said - work sure does get in the way of photography sometimes!

Right now work isn't bothering me anywhere near as much as the cloudless skies every weekend. Thanks for the hope Stan.
