I'm an active rangefinder user (Leica M digital), and I was SHOCKED to be waking down a road in Rocky Mountain National Park, when I spotted a piece of rangefinder gear along the side of the road! I rarely ever see another RF shooter...
I will say that the item is made by Voigtlander, but leave the rest of the details to the person to claim for proof of ownership.
If you or anyone you know were in RMNP this weekend, you may want to check your RF kit and see if anything is missing.
Please pass this along to anyone who may have been there.

Does it fit your M camera? Good of you in any case to try to find its owner. Maybe it was meant to be yours?

If anyone finds a lens hood between two boulders at Devil's Tower ... it's mine.
I'm generally a 'golden rule' kind of person, so I'll try to find the owner before I determine how to dispose of it.

Make a call to the park rangers and let them know. The owner may call them to see if anyone found it.

I once left my Gitzo tripod and Wimberly head in a crowd of photographers 100 miles from my home while photographing Bald Eagles. 4 weeks later I got it back through a "word of mouth" campaign. I was so grateful (and showed it). Thank you for trying to find this gear's home....From someone who knows how much that means.
It's great you are trying to help this get home. I recommend that you contact Barry Sweet at the RMNP backcountry office as he handles the lost and found for Rocky, among his many other hats. You can call him at: (970) 586-1242. It is very likely that someone reported it there and is looking for it. Thanks Michael!
I alerted the NPS on Monday. They had not reports of a lost item. It's very likely that the person doesn't even know the item is missing yet, which is why I figured I'd post on a few boards.

It fits, but I have no use for it.
