Has anyone ever had this happen?

I have a Canon 30D. The tripod socket twisted right out of the bottom of the camera. The threads did not strip, the whole socket twisted out of the camera. If anyone has ever had this happen, how much did it cost to fix? Thanks for your help.

First I've heard of it. Gosh, unless you put your plate or tripod on there with super strength lock-tite type stuff, and then tried to really wrench it off cuz it wouldn't budge… well, uh, wouldn't that be a fix under warranty? Even if your camera is out of warranty? Hope so, for your sake. Too bad. :frown:
