Dunnock in snow
I quite like this "high key" look, the mountain in the background was bathed in very bright sunshine while the bird was in diffused light.

My Sony camera is nowhere near top of the range but it handles difficult exposures extremely well, fair play.

Sony A350
Sigma 50-500 EX
1/250th sec
f8
ISO 400
360mm
+1.3 stop exposure compensation
Centre-weighted metering
Tripod
Taken from a nice warm heated hide out in my yard

Works very well indeed - exposure is spot on and details are great. A little head turn would have been a bonus.

Great shot in what are always difficult lighting conditions.
